THE FOUNDATION

The Fraternity's philanthropic organization - the Kappa Alpha Theta Foundation - supports Theta's educational programs and the Fraternity's philanthropy, CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates).
Criteria for scholarship awards include:
overall GPA,
campus activities,
awards and scholarships,
Theta leadership,
community activities,
need, and
quality of references.
Scholarships are awarded through the Kappa Alpha Theta Foundation. The Foundation annually awards more than $400,000 in graduate and undergraduate scholarships.

Applications are available in October of each year, and must be postmarked by February 1 to receive consideration. CASA has
member affiliates in more than 530 communities and more than 30,000 volunteers
serving 100,000 children in all 50 states. The Kappa Alpha
Theta Foundation's current
two-year commitment to CASA is $120,000 to fund awareness projects and
materials, an 800 number for information and referral, and the Kappa Alpha Theta
